McKesson to invesqt $36M in new operation in Frederick County

McKesson Corporation, a leading healthcare services and information technology company, will invest $36.9 million to establish a new distribution operation in Frederick County., the company announced on Monday.

The company will distribute medical and surgical supplies to physician offices, surgery centers, long-term care facilities and home care businesses in a regional service area that includes New Jersey, eastern Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, District of Columbia, Virginia, eastern West Virginia, and northern North Carolina.

Carmeuse to invest $45M in new operation in Frederick

Carmeuse Lime & Stone, a manufacturer of a complete range of lime and limestone products for a variety of industries, will invest $45 million to expand its manufacturing operation in Frederick County.

The project, which will include the installation of a new modern kiln to meet growing production demands, will create 25 new jobs.

“The lime business is expanding rapidly due to regulations that require coal fired utilities to perform additional scrubbing, and Carmeuse’s consistent growth in Virginia speaks volumes about our positive business climate and wealth of available natural resources,” Gov.
