Stormy Daniels Arrested In Ohio Strip Club, Michael Avenatti Says

Stormy Daniels arrested in Ohio, lawyer says

US: Adult film star, who claimed to have had affair with Donald Trump, arrested

The attorney for porn actress Stormy Daniels says prosecutors have dropped all charges against her following her overnight arrest at an OH adult club.

Later Thursday morning, Avenatti said that Daniels "will issue a plea of "Not Guilty" to the three misdemeanor charges".

While Daniels was performing Wednesday night at Sirens, a strip club in Columbus, some patrons touched her in a "non-sexual" way, her lawyer, Michael Avenatti, told The Associated Press. Avenatti told MSNBC Thursday that the undercover officers in the strip club were female but shook off allegations that any of the behavior Daniels engaged in was "inappropriate".

Daniels canceled her Thursday night performance in Columbus because of the charges.

Avenatti called the three misdemeanor charges "an absurd use of law enforcement resources". "We will fight all bogus charges", he tweeted, including a hashtag for the word "basta" which is Italian for "enough".

President Trump denies U.S. opposition to World Health Organization breastfeeding resolution
A proposal to promote breastfeeding was met with unexpected contention by American delegates at the World Health Assembly in May. Taking a break from being an all-purpose bogeyman, Russia, we're told, saved the day and the United States was thwarted.

A lawyer for the star, who is locked in a court battle with US President Donald Trump over their alleged affair, said the arrest was "politically motivated".

The law, The Community Defense Act, prohibits adult entertainment - defined as nude or topless dancing - between midnight and 6am.

"This was a complete set up", Michael Avenatti, Daniels' attorney, tweeted.

Under Ohio law, an employee who regularly appears nude or seminude on the premises of a sexually oriented business is not allowed to touch anyone who's not a family member while nude or seminude at that business.

Daniels, 39, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, says she had sex with Mr. Trump in 2006. I deeply apologize to my fans in Columbus, ' Daniels said. "During her performance, they asked her if they could place their face in between her breasts while she was performing on stage".

The Columbus Dispatch reported past year that the 2007 law, introduced by a conservative religious group, was seldom enforced.

The article quoted the Franklin County Sheriff's office as saying in the decade since the law was enacted, it had never had "any complaints or reasons to apply" it. As she performed in front of a female detective, the report states, Daniels leaned over, grabbed the detective's head and "began smacking her face with her bare breasts and holding her face between her breasts against her chest".

Trump forcefully denied the affair.

Through White House officials, Trump has denied the affair, although Cohen has admitted paying Daniels $130,000 as part of the agreement.
