Netflix may add an even more expensive 'Ultra' streaming tier

Netflix could soon announce some changes to its pricing schedule with the addition of a fourth plan

Netflix might be on the verge of launching its most expensive plan ever

Netflix appears to be planning its most expensive streaming tier yet.

When subscribing to the €16.99 tier, those Ultra subscribers would also be able to watch Netflix on four screens simultaneously. Currently, the SD plan gives you 1 stream the HD standard plan offers 2 and the Premium plan offers 4 streams.

Netflix is testing an "Ultra" tier, placed above its Premium tier.

Whenever Netflix raises the price of its subscription plans - and this happens every few years - we keep hearing about disgruntled users ready to leave the service because of the price increase.

Uruguay 2 Portugal 1
Uruguay will play against Portugal on June 30 at Fisht Olympic Stadium in Sochi , at 17:00 MSK (UTC+3) [10 a.m. It was Edinson Cavani who instead took the spotlight.

For other people, the change left the number of simultaneous streams the same for each current tier, but Ultra was the only option for those wishing to take advantage of High Dynamic Range (HDR) content-a move those with HDR TVs will argue is even worse.

These can include televisions, smart set-top boxes, home video games consoles, laptops, tablets, smartphones, or anywhere else viewers can login and watch Netflix.

Aside from HDR support that would of course require compatible hardware, there are no other new features in the Ultra plan.

The difference between Ultra and the present Premium tier is subtle.

European Union warns Trump against imposing tariffs on auto imports

So the new prices could be justified by premium exclusive content, and not just high-resolution video streams.

The Ultra plan, that is how Netflix calls it right now, is the most expensive plan up to date. This plan will reportedly cost €16.99 in Italy.

CNET got confirmation from Netflix that the company is "testing slightly different price points and features to better understand how consumers value Netflix". That said, some Italian users who claim to have gotten the test offer report that the Premium subscription might get an annoying downgrade. The streaming company recently raised its prices at the end of 2017.

All other features, at least those displayed on the plan selection page on Netflix, match the Premium plan (meaning you get HD and Ultra HD, and access on four screens).
