The 31-year-old actor just landed the co-starring role in the forthcoming Top Gun sequel, according to Variety. In the original pic, Goose, played by Anthony Edwards, was the co-pilot to Cruise's Maverick. Glen Powell (Hidden Figures) and Nicholas Hoult (X-Men: Apocalypse) also tested for the same role.
