AMC Stubs A-List also lists key differences between itself and MoviePass, such as the ability to watch IMAX or 3D movies and to watch movies the subscriber has already seen.

AMC has announced the launch of its new Stubs A List Plan.

MoviePass has made headlines in the past year for disrupting the movie theater experience at a time of uneven attendance at movie theaters.

Writer Nick Statt of The Verge said movie theater companies might be fearful of MoviePass since the subscription service changes how customers see the value of a ticket.

The president has doubled down on his stance, maintaining the policy while falsely spewing blame at congressional Democrats. Lewandowsi responded that this was on the parents for coming here, and on Congress for not changing the laws.

"We believe that our current and future loyal guests will be interested in this type of program", said Adam Aron, CEO and President of AMC Theatres.

In January, MoviePass flexed its muscles back against AMC, closing down its access to 10 popular AMC theaters - including one in Santa Clara.

Coming Soon reports that AMC Theatres has announced an alternative to MoviePass, a new tier on its AMC Stubs program called AMC Stubs A-List.

Follow Thursday's NBA Draft on Crossover TV's draft show
Marvin Bagley III should DEFINITELY be the #1 overall pick in the NBA Draft on says his father, Marvin Bagley II. He also added Monday in his pre-Draft availability the Magic are also exploring options to move up or down in the draft.

Those benefits include free upgrades on popcorn and soda, express service at the box office and concession stand, and no online ticketing fees. Movies won't carry over if a subscriber sees fewer than three films in a week.

Exhibitors like AMC have long argued that the company, a division of Helios and Matheson, has an unsustainable business model since it typically pays full price for every ticket sold to its users.

Finally, AMC says that you can see all three of your weekly movies on the same day, though if you do, there needs to be a two-hour period in between each one. Plus, at least for the time being, that $9.95 a month price point is still more attractive.

"Thanks for making us look good AMC!", the MoviePass tweet read.

Suarez fires Uruguay past Saudi Arabia into the Round of 16
The Saudi Arabian national team's rough start to World Cup continued on Tuesday, as the team's plane caught fire in midair. In their final group stage game on June 25, Uruguay face Russian Federation and Saudi Arabia play Egypt.

Stubs A-List will run subscribers $19.95, which hardly makes it seem like a viable competitor to MoviePass considering that it's double the monthly cost.
