Shirt maker Nike received a staggering 3 million orders for the shirts before they even hit the shops, generating an incredible $255 million in profits for the company.

The Football World Cup is around the corner and global teams have already released their official World cup kits.

Nike have stated that the feathered pattern that features on the kit has been inspired by the Super Eagles, a reference to the first Nigerian team to have played in a World Cup final in 1994.

London is home to thousands of Nigerian ex-pats and people with Nigerian heritage, meaning the kit had no shorter of takes at Nike's central London HQ.

With only one week to go before the World Cup kicks off, Nigeria have already emerged as the sartorial champions.
