Videos of the incident show that the float was still operational even as it was on fire, with its mechanical head rising and falling as workers tried to put out the blaze with fire extinguishers. The float, which was created to look like the villain, Maleficent, from Sleeping Beauty, appeared to malfunction somewhere around the Liberty Square section of the park when there was still 15 minutes of its part in the parade left, according to many onlookers who took to social media to post horrendous videos of the unexpected fire.

Serious injuries reported after plane crash in Offaly
Sixteen parachutists had made their jumps ten minutes earlier before the plane crashed on bogland with the man and boy on board. Just the pilot and the young boy were on board when the plane crashed. "A rescue/recovery operation is under way".

Terrified onlookers watched on as the float, representing the character Maleficent from Sleeping Beauty, went up in flames.

The dragon, described by the Sentinel as having a "steampunk" design, usually rolls through the streets of the park bobbing up and down and occasionally rearing its head back to blow out smoke and flames. No word on what will happen to the dragon float, but I hope they fix it and continue with this parade.
