"If you're a lobbyist who never gave us money, I didn't talk to you. If you came from back home and sat in my lobby, I would talk to you without exception, regardless of the financial contributions".

Mr. Mulvaney also said he would begin calling the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau by its official statutory name, the more obscure Bureau of Consumer Financial Protection. Ironically, the very same federal body's current director just stood in front of some 1,300 banking industry officials and confessed how corrupt he apparently was.

"We had a hierarchy in my office in Congress", Mulvaney, a former SC lawmaker, told 1,300 officials at the American Bankers Association conference in Washington, according to The New York Times.

Well, how utterly noble of him to talk to the people he represented without asking them to pay up first.

In Warren's latest salvo, she delivered a list of more than 100 questions for Mulvaney, following up on his recent testimony before the Senate Banking Committee. The scandalous part is that Mulvaney asked the executives and lobbyists to donate more money, and told them the more they donated, the more influence they would have.

In his speech Tuesday, Mulvaney also took aim at the agency's complaint database, which thousands of consumers use each year to file complaints about debt-collection practices, mortgages, credit cards and other matters.
