He will have a rare audience with Queen Elizabeth, and meet Prince Charles at a tech event.

The meeting gains significance as it comes in the backdrop of Britain's decision to exit the European Union.

"It will be a no-holds-barred interaction with Prime Minister Modi, in a manner and format never witnessed before", said Vijay Chauthaiwale, in charge of the BJP foreign affairs department.

However, some members of the Indian community have said that this time, there will be a "strong counter-protest" by pro-India groups to welcome Modi. Modi even added that we have to strengthen our social values along with the law and order in the country.

The PM expressed confidence that visits to Sweden and United Kingdom would help in enhancing India's engagement with these countries.

Sweden and the Nordic countries' courting of India is to give a boost to the bilateral trade which today stands at a total trade of around $1.9 billion in 2016-17 down from $2.17 billion, and hence both countries have set a lofty total trade target of $5 billion.

On the sidelines of the India-Nordic Summit, Prime Minister Modi will have separate bilateral meetings with Prime Ministers of Denmark, Finland, Iceland and Norway respectively. On Sunday, the PM said the visit would help deepen bilateral ties with both the countries.

China will allow Irish beef exports

After concluding his visits to Sweden and the United Kingdom, the Prime Minister will meet Chancellor Angela Merkel in Berlin for a brief while and both the leaders will exchange views on a number of bilateral, regional and global issues.
