Communities near Lynchburg began to survey and clean up tornado damage Monday after a line of storms swept across the entire state Sunday and early Monday. The damage is widespread, many homes were destroyed, and 12 people were injured. As the tornado continued into Chicot County, two sets of wooden transmission poled were found snapped and a mobile home sustained damage.

The weather service in SC said an EF-0 tornado hit Lexington and an EF-1 hit Irmo.
