The EFF and ANC have begun informal talks of a partnership: report

The official funeral service for the ex-wife of the late Nelson Mandela was taking place on Saturday morning in Soweto - a Johannesburg township at the forefront of the battle against apartheid where she lived.

"Mama, the widows of Marikana are still in tears".

With both parties in attendance at Winnie Madikizela-Mandela's funeral on Saturday, it was clear that the EFF and ANC had chose to call a truce for the day.

The Sowetan Online reported that the EFF leader told the officer "no white man can stop me" during the altercation, before he was eventually granted entry. What must we tell them?

In his passionate speech‚ Malema‚ who is a leader of the Economic Freedom Fighters‚ called out some of the people who attacked Madikizela-Mandela during her lifetime.

"Just as Mam' Winnie has united us in sorrow, let us honour her memory by uniting in common goal".

She also questioned why men in the struggle weren't subjected to the same scrutiny, and said, "double standards obscure the enormous efforts of women" in the struggle. "Praising my mother now that she is gone shows [what] hypocrites you are".
