Francisco Liriano: Sunday start postponed

Tigers rained out again; doubleheader vs. Yankees set for Sunday

The Yankees and Tigers postponed Saturday's game at Comerica Park due to inclement weather and will make it up with a split doubleheader on Sunday, per announcements from the teams on Saturday morning.

This is the fifth time the Tigers have been rained out this season. Rescheduling today's game (or games) will prove more complicated, as this is the Yankees' only visit to Detroit in 2018. The games will be made up in a split doubleheader on June 4 in Detroit. All told, they could be in a far worse predicament: the Twins have postponed their last two games against the White Sox at Target Field due to a snowstorm.

The total will improve from Game 1 but it still falls a little short of the number as there's a big jump to be made here. Following the win, Oladipo said he wasn't bothered by Gilbert's comment, but did admit that it "added fuel to the fire".

The Tigers have a scheduled off day on Monday, but the Yankees open a home series against the Miami Marlins. Yet they're still holding out hope they can play the nightcap, now scheduled for 7:10. The team has essentially opted to bump everyone back and maintain the order.

It's fair to suggest that the seemingly never-ending cold-weather playing situations for the Tigers to start the season has led to their offensive woes early on, to some degree (pun intended).

Manchester City Have Won The Premier League
Guardiola has won titles with Barcelona and Bayern Munich, while also conquering the Champions League during his Camp Nou reign. David Silva hooked home in the 42nd minute, only for United to level in first-half stoppage time through Marcus Rashford.

The Yankees beat the Tigers 8-6 on Friday in the first game of their three-game series.
