Rain, Possible Severe Storms this Weekend

Central AL Forecast: Sun-filled Friday ahead of potentially severe weather on Saturday

It's another summer-like day for us, but with a few more clouds.

Behind the front, there will be another blast of cooler air moving in on Monday. A Blizzard Warning is in effect for our counties in NW KS and all in SW NE. It is critically important for everyone to monitor their local news and heed the warnings of officials in their area.

Mostly sunny skies are in the forecast for Wednesday when the highs will warm up to between 55 and 60. Wind is expected to be lighter as well. Lows will be in the lower 40s north and upper 40s south! We rebound to the lower 70's by mid-week. Morning lows are expected in the low-to-mid 30s on average around the region. Lows will warm into the middle 50s for Tuesday morning. We started the week with cold temperatures and snow showers.

Today is a Weather Alert Day for the potential for strong to severe storms arriving this evening. The American and European forecast models show thunderstorm chances returning on Friday to the area. There is a 90% chance for showers and storms today.
