The Topless Protester Who Took Center Stage At Cosby's Retrial Has A History With The Actor

Although he mentioned Constand would be called to testify, he indicated how important the "he said" would be to their side, too, highlighting several quotes Cosby made in the deposition and police statements and to Constand's mother about offering to pay for Constand's education; why Cosby anxious about being recorded; and discussions about the types of pills and alcohol he offered Constand.

"The main goal was to make Cosby uncomfortable because that is exactly what he has been doing for decades to women", she said afterward.

Bill Cosby arrives for the third day of his sexual assault retrial on Wednesday, April 11.

She is one five other accusers testifying against Bill Cosby at his sex-assault retrial in Norristown, Pa. April 11, 2018.

The charged rhetoric has irritated Cosby's lawyers, who have lost two bids for a mistrial. She's the first of five additional accusers whom prosecutors plan to call as they make the case that Cosby has a history of drugging and assaulting women.

He was in his mid-60s. She said she was flown to Reno and driven to a home, where she found Cosby alone.

Cosby's lawyers have said Baker-Kinney "voluntarily" took the drug and apologized to him for passing out.

He called Constand a "con artist" who framed Cosby for a "jackpot". "I wanted a paycheck", she said.

The dismissal led Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to appoint Special Counsel Robert Mueller to oversee the probe. Last month it topped Amazon's overall best-seller list after Mr Trump renewed his Twitter attacks on Mr Comey.

The prosecution is likely to try to plant an idea in the heads of jurors: Why would Cosby pay Constand if he weren't guilty?

Referring to the unsealed deposition, Steele told jurors on Monday: "That, ladies and gentlemen, led to our office reopening the investigation".

On Wednesday Mesereau honed in on Baker-Kinney's past drug use.

The judge in Bill Cosby's sexual assault trial has refused to declare a mistrial after one of the accusers called as a prosecution witness blurted out from the witness stand, "You know what you did, don't you, Mr Cosby?".

Psychiatrist Barbara Ziv was the first witness to testify at Cosby's retrial Tuesday. Later, Jackson asked Constand if she had been assaulted. But Mesereau buttressed that approach with a withering critique of Constand's professional life. She said it was the rule, not the exception, that victims knew perpetrators.

Supermodel Janice Dickinson is expected to testify that Cosby drugged and raped her in Nevada in the mid-80s, too.

Now well into middle age, the accusers spoke of entering Cosby's orbit as star-struck young women seeking career help or, in Baker-Kinney's case, simply looking for a fun time. To hammer home that point, Mesereau - a flamboyant courtroom figure with startling white, almost shoulder-length hair who is based in Los Angeles - offered a beginner's course on Hollywood to his suburban, East Coast audience in the jury box. "You're supposed to help me be successful". He then had her talk to someone who was there to help her relax.

Cosby lawyer Tom Mesereau is set to deliver his remarks on Tuesday.

The first of five additional accusers against Cosby is continuing her testimony in court Wednesday.

"I didn't fly to Tahoe to have sex with Mr. Cosby", she said. Thomas, at the time, was represented by a formidable Denver agent named Jo Farrell, who was nicknamed "The Barracuda".

She had appeared on The Cosby Show in the early 1990s when she was 12 years old in a part as a friend of Cosby's daughter on the show, Rudy. She was also featured on the cover of New York Magazinealong with 34 other Cosby accusers in July 2015.

The well-known actor didn't think much of her first couple of attempts to work through some acting lines.

"I was really light-headed", she said. She said that's where she started to get cramps, and that's when Cosby produced a little blue pill.

It made no mention of the alleged assault, Ms Thomas said, because she had planned to give it to her mother. She says Cosby then assaulted her. From that moment on, she told jurors, all she can remember are "snapshots". "He was forcing himself in my mouth", Thomas said.

She said Cosby sent her into the bathroom to put water on her hair, saying he needed photos of her with wet hair.

Thomas testified that she was so disoriented during her trip to Reno that she can barely remember going to the comic's show at a Reno casino and meeting members of the band, The Temptations. She described feeling "bewildered". But he wasn't happy about it. She wiped her eyes and nose with a white cloth as she stopped to sip from a cup of water several times.
