Along with the two Tests, West Indies will also play five ODIs and three T20Is in October-November.
India's global home season is scheduled to commence with the Asia Cup, which is likely to begin on September 18, subject to the Indian government giving permission to allow Pakistan to play. Replying to an email from the BCCI acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary, the CWI chief Dave Cameron has said: "As per our discussions we would gladly agree to a day/night Test Match being the first one".
The BCCI's Tour, Programme and Fixtures committee which met here on Saturday took a unanimous decision to award the first Test against the Windies to Rajkot.
Choudhary revealed that India would play one-off Test match against Afghanistan in second week of June, while the series against West Indies has been scheduled for October.

India will leave for Australia after the Twenty20 series for a two-month long tour.
With 2019 being a World Cup year, India are scheduled to play several limited-overs matches as part of their preparations. The day-night Test is subject to approval from the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (CoA). After their tour of Australia, India will travel to New Zealand to play five ODIs and three T20s (as per the ICC's Future Tours Programme). Australia will tour India in February-March for five ODIs and T20Is, before the IPL.
Earlier Choudhary had asked for Cameron's views on a day/night Test in India, saying: "This is with regard to our onward conversation on the subject of day-night test match between the visiting West Indies team and hosts India".
The CoA was unhappy that acting secretary Amitabh Choudhary had explored and discussed the possibility of playing a D-N Test with Ravi Shastri even as the head coach was not averse to the idea. That series will be played in February-March before the IPL and will be India's last worldwide series before the World Cup begins in England on May 30.

In a bold move, CoA had made a decision to virtually clipped the wings of three principal BCCIoffice bearers comprising C.K.
