Alex Ovechkin Becomes 6th Player in NHL History to Score 600 Goals with 1 Team

Going into Monday's game against the Winnipeg Jets, Ovechkin was just two goals short of reaching six-century mark.

After the game, Kuzy had the quote of the night when asked for his reaction of Alex Ovechkin's 600th career goal. The Russian winger became the 20th player and fourth-fastest in NHL history to 600 goals and is on pace to lead the league in goals for the seventh time.

Ovechkin, 32, needed only 990 games to complete the feat, which only Wayne Gretzky, Mario Lemieux and Brett Hull completed quicker. Ovechkin is now 32-year-old and he'll need to average about 29 goals-per-year over the next 10 seasons to surpass Gretzky at 894.

Ovechkin pumped his fist after his 600th goal and received a standing ovation from his home crowd.
