Existing in the same continuity as their insane yet still active show on Cartoon Network, the Teen Titans find out that other DC superheroes seem to have films produced, so they seek out the ideal director (Kristen Bell) for their debut on the big screen, but an old enemy (Will Arnett) has other ideas planned for them.

Now, the Academy Award victor is finally getting his chance and will voice the hero in the upcoming Teen Titans GO! to the Movies (via USA Today). Cage nearly portrayed the superhero for Tim Burton back in the late 1990s, but the project was ultimately scrapped. Speaking to USA Today, the film's executive producer Sam Register described the "great responsibility" the team felt when filling out their cameo cast. It's a unusual move, but it should be noted that he is a massive Superman fan and even named his son Kal-El.

In addition to the more stunt-cast celebrities, the voice cast for the Teen Titans Go! movie also features Will Arnett, Kristen Bell, and series regulars Khary Payton, Greg Cipes, Scott Menville, Tara Strong, and Hynden Walch. It seems to the Teens that all the major superheroes out there are starring in their own movies-everyone but the Teen Titans, that is! Believe it or not, the studio pulled the plug on that one just days before shooting was set to commence, making it one of the hottest pieces of trivia in superhero film history, with even a documentary about it having been produced in the time since.
