It's official! The whole Monterey gang is going back together for the second season of "Big Little Lies" as Shailene Woodley, Laura Dern and Zoe Kravitz have been confirmed to reprise their respective roles in the upcoming season.
The Emmy Award winning show has previously featured the likes of Reese Witherspoon, Nicole Kidman and Hollywood legend Meryl Streep, and when they announced their season two commission, the United States premium channel said 'most of the cast is expected to return, and negotiations are underway'. All three signed new deals to return, as the first season was originally meant to be a single-run event series.
After the wink, now it's a bullet shot from Priya Varrier!
This comes in wake of the controversy created over the movie's actress Priya Prakash Varrier's wink and eyebrow dance expressions. Her expressive eyes, innocence and smile in the clip wherein she gets flirty with her co-actor, have done the trick.
"Big Little Lies" premiered on HBO in early 2017 and went on to win eight Primetime Emmy Awards. HBO announced on Friday that the three actresses will return for the second season. Sources say the cast also scored sizable raises to return.
Kidman, who plays Celeste Wright, will need to find herself and stand on her own after the death of her husband.
Olivier Giroud excited to score first Chelsea goal in victory over Hull
The rest of the fifth round takes place from Saturday to Monday, with the two Manchester clubs and Tottenham still involved. But Hull's first-half display was beyond terrible as individual mistakes abounded and their defence was opened up at will.
Kravitz also returns in the role of Bonnie Carlson, who confronts past demons for the first time. Meryl Streep too is joining the second season, and she will play Mary Louise Wright, the mother of Alexander Skarsgard's character Perry Wright in the show. Relationships will fray, loyalties will erode...the potential for emotional and bodily injury shall loom. Writer/showrunner David E. Kelley, who was attached to Big Little Lies when it was a film set to star Kidman and Witherspoon, will again write all seven episodes partially based on a story by Liane Moriarty.
Big Little Lies is expected to return in 2019. Bonnie's parents will also be introduced in season 2.
