For his version, Ocean starts by distorting his voice to resemble an innocent child (a similar tactic he frequently employed on his last album Blonde) and croons over an achingly slow and attractive bass line, providing his own supporting vocals and harmonies throughout.

Frank Ocean capped off Valentine's Day with a late-night surprise, unveiling a cover of "Moon River".

Fans of the United States musician also enjoyed the sombre cover with one labelling it a "brazen move".

The "Chanel" artist dropped his version of the track, first composed by legendary composer and musician Henry Mancini, Wednesday via YouTube.

Ocean's last studio album was 2016's "Blonde" but he has confirmed in recent months that his new album is already finished - so we may hear it some time this year. Interestingly enough, on January 3rd Ocean posted a photo on his Tumblr page of someone wearing a hat that says, "If you liked 2017, you'll love 2018". He wrote: "WELL I️ MADE THE ALBUM BEFORE 30".
