Several killed in fiery Long Island wreck that involved stolen car

Five people died in an overwhelming mishap including a stolen auto on Long Island Wednesday morning, as indicated by a fire source.

The four-car pileup included an oil truck and stolen vehicle on a major road in Ridge, New York, after 11:20 a.m., ABC New York station WABC reported. The Camaro, traveling east, was being followed by two police cars when it struck a westbound oil truck as well as an eastbound Mazda, which crashed into an Infiniti, said Stuart Cameron, the Suffolk County police chief. Police said there was no police pursuit leading up to the crash, and no officers witnessed the crash. "We're not certain of the order of the collision...it's going to take some time to reconstruct".

One person in the stolen vehicle was killed, and the other person in that auto was injured, police said.
