Some of the special features include featurettes on Western tropes and archetypes, a look into the film's Japanese character models and designs, and the Batman Ninja New York Comic Con 2017 panel.

Batman Ninja will stealthily make its digital debut on April 24, followed by the physical release of a Blu-ray/DVD/Digital combo (with an optional Steelbook version), which hits retail on May 8. The first English trailer for the upcoming Batman Ninja seems to have the potential to be one of the craziest and yet possibly best things anyone has done with Batman in a long time.

Batman Ninja is a feature-length collaboration between some very important names in the anime industry. Japan have conjured an impressive addition to the Dark Knight's canon of entertainment, taking Batman and his friends and foes in an altogether new direction. According to Batman in the trailer, The Joker's end goal is to rewrite history and take over Japan.

The film has a serious cavalcade of top Japanese anime talent behind it, having been written, directed and designed by several of the folks who worked on Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and Afro Samurai.
