Woman reported missing found competing on 'The Bachelor'

On Thursday, the North Coast Journal published a story on the Humboldt 35, a list of 35 people who have been reported missing from 1977 to present day in Humboldt County, California. One thing led to another and eventually a deputy at the office contacted Bekah and confirmed she is the same missing person. The original North Coast Journal article pointed out Humboldt County has the highest number of missing person reports in the state and wondered if there was any reason for the distinction. However, Bekah did contact her mother; she did not follow up with the sheriff, though, and only direct contact can remove someone from the list.

A fan of the reality series recognized Rebekah Helena Martinez, 22, when her headshot was included in a story about missing people in Humboldt County.

Girl arrested in shooting
A 15-year-old girl was hit in the wrist and was in stable condition, Los Angeles Police Department spokeswoman Wendy Reyes said. Chris Ramirez said. "We're unclear whether a gun went off or if it was an intentional shooting", Mr Garcetti said.

A month later, on December 12, a deputy reached out to Martinez's mother, asking if she had heard from her daughter.

The contestant's mother became concerned when she could not reach her daughter.

Her name wasn't taken off the missing persons list until this week, when Facebook users identified her on the show.

Anger at police chief Anthony Bangham's plan to fine 1mph speeders
Drivers who go beyond these limits are behaving recklessly and endangering the lives of themselves and others. "If booked at 35 or 34 or 33 (in a 30mph zone) that can not be unfair because they are breaking the law".

She is one of nine women who remain in contention for the affections of Arie Luyendyk Jr. on the television show, and was she was unavailable for interviews on Friday. Martinez announced on Instagram four months ago she would be giving up her phone and all social media for weeks, writing, "So if you need to contact me, well. tough luck!" Seems she forgot to relay that intel to her mother.

According to the California attorney general's website, 22-year-old Bekah was reported missing on November 12, 2017, with a note that she "was last seen" on that date.

Martinez has actively posted on Instagram and Twitter since she was reported and when her freakish story was reported by media on February 2, she tweeted a message referring to the photo used in the missing person report. The Journal shared the story on Facebook, asking people if they saw anyone they recognized.
