YouTube Might Finally Be Getting Serious About Rule-Breaking Creators

Logan Paul posted a comment on her post saying, "Lawls you telling me".

Mirroring the statements of many other tech companies, Wojcicki said YouTube would also be prioritising solutions to combat fake news and would refine policies that were previously unclear.

But in cases where a creator does something "egregious that causes significant harm to our community as a whole", Susan said the platform was "developing policies" that would "lead to consequences" and allow the platform the "respond appropriately". "For example, on issues of hate speech we work with the Anti-Defamation League in the USA and on issues of self-harm, we work with the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline".

Wojcicki also acknowledged another major issue in the blog post: demonetization.

Budget 2018: Boon or bane for individual tax payers?
Jaitley announced a new funding scheme for infrastructural development in Centrally Funded Institutions (CFIs) and Universities. The government substantially increased the allocation of National Rural Livelihood Mission to Rs. 5750 crore in 2018-19.

YouTube's CEO also addressed "demonetization", an issue that gained prominence in 2017 after another popular YouTuber, PewDiePie, uploaded a video that featured two men laughing as they held a banner that read, "Death to all Jews".

Many creators have complained about their work being deemed unsuitable for advertising, causing them to miss out on revenue: " While we worked hard this year to provide an appeals system and quicker responses to creators when a video is demonetised, we've heard loud and clear that we need a better system.

Wojcicki said she understands the frustration creators feel when they can not collect ad revenue from the videos - and it worked to create an appeals process to respond to these concerns.

Paul, 22, sat down with Michael Strahan on "Good Morning America" for his first TV interview after facing enormous backlash for the video, and he kicked things off by discussing how hard it's been on him. Channels need to have a minimum of 1,000 subscribers and more than 4,000 hours of accrued watch time over the past 12 months to be eligible.

"Do I think they give in to advertisers too much? Yep!"

"This was a frightful lapse of judgment and I can and will learn from it and be a better person".
