I never molested my daughter: Woody Allen

Dylan Farrows talks molestation allegations as more celebrities distance themselves from Woody Allen

Why are Hollywood's famous men refusing to condemn Woody Allen?

Woody Allen was thrust to the fore on Wednesday (Jan 17) of the sexual harassment watershed sweeping the United States when his daughter revived child molestation allegations against the famed director, asking the world to finally believe her.

Dylan Farrow has given her first television interview about her claims she was molested by her adoptive father Woody Allen, insisting she is "telling the truth".

A CT state prosecutor at the time had found probable cause to charge Allen but thought Farrow too fragile to face a celebrity trial. She said that she was speaking up after the torrent of sexual harassment and assault accusations levelled against leading figures in the media and entertainment industry.

"Why shouldn't I want to bring him down?"

"I'm not angry with them". However, CBS released a preview of the interview on Wednesday, in which Dylan stressed the validity of her allegations.

Trump accuses Democrat Durbin of undermining trust on immigration
I have a wonderful relationship with Haitians. "That's their choice", Durbin said. But she says she doesn't "dispute the president was using tough language".

Allen repeated his denial of the claims and issued a new statement on Thursday saying: "I never molested my daughter". "It seems to have worked - and, sadly, I'm sure Dylan truly believes what she says".

The film director's agent did not immediately respond to an AFP request to comment.

Baldwin later added he believes that it is possible to support survivors of pedophilia and sexual abuse, while also believing that Allen in innocent.

Hall and the actor Timothee Chalamet, who are to appear in Allen's upcoming movie A Rainy Day in NY, have announced that they will donate their salaries from the film to charities including the Time's Up movement.

"After reading and re-reading Dylan Farrow's statements of a few days ago and going back and reading the older ones - I see, not only how complicated this matter is, but that my actions have made another woman feel silenced and dismissed", she said.

Ryan seemingly uses his Catholicism as a shield when talking about the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program , or DACA . The House needs to pass a bill Thursday in order to give the Senate time to do the same ahead of the midnight Friday deadline.

Allen has claimed in the past that Farrow has been brainwashed and manipulated by her mother (and his ex), Mia Farrow-suggesting that her story is falsified and is being used as a weapon to destroy Allen and his film career.

"We are in a day and age when everything must be re-examined. If this means tearing down all the old gods, so be it", wrote Sorvino in an open letter to Farrow in HuffPost last week.

The actor also spoke out against Harvey Weinstein, who was executive producer on Firth's film The King's Speech, when sexual assault accusations against Weinstein came to light.

Dylan's interview comes after Timothee Chalamet and Rebecca Hall, who both star in the director's upcoming film A Rainy Day in NY, publicly announced their intention to donate their salaries from the movie to the Time's Up movement, which helps victims of abuse and harassment seek justice, while Timothee has also split his between two other charities as well.

"Even though the Farrow family is cynically using the opportunity afforded by the Time's Up movement to repeat this discredited allegation, that doesn't make it any more true today than it was in the past", Allen said in a statement.
