USA says 2 terrorists killed in Somalia airstrike

Two militants were killed in Somalia as a result of a US airstrike targeting an al Qaeda-linked group and al-Shabab, according to the USA military's Africa Command.

Unidentified airstrike targeted suspected Al-Shabaab militant on a minibus near Bariiri location about 45 kilometers south of the capital Mogadishu on Tuesday, officials said on Wednesday.

Reports indicate that five Kenyan policemen were killed following an attack in the northeast of Mandera County near Somalia border. It has deployed bomb attacks against government, military and civilian targets.
