PWInsider reports that Paige was notified by WWE on Monday at the RAW taping that she will not be cleared to return to wrestling after her latest injury. 2017 into 2018 was supposed to be her major comeback to WWE, her redemption. And since she previously suffered a neck injury in 2016, WWE pulled her from the ring to do more tests. People often quip that she was born to wrestle in the womb, and The Rock is even making a film about her family of professional wrestlers. The belief at the time was that she had suffered a stinger, but further testing led to WWE's decision to not clear her for return as an in-ring performer. However, due to these circumstances, it appears she has no chance of getting back into the match. This is quite sad because this year's PPV is the first time that the women are getting their own Royal Rumble match.
It's being said the company wants to keep her in a non-wrestling role much like Daniel Bryan now is the GM of Smackdown Live. Last month on Lilian Garcia's podcast, Paige had commented that her doctor's had warned her after the last neck injury - which kept her out of the ring for over a year - that she should retire and not return.

The 25-year-old Brit recently returned to the ring after a 512 day lay-off, and seemed to be returning to the top of the women's division. She has already been featured on the Total Divas reality series and may have a future in films with WWE Studios or as an NXT coach, Johnson reports.
WWE have yet to release an official statement.

After copping a blow to her back, Paige collapsed to the mat and was stretchered from the ring after being examined by medical personnel. Obviously, that will continue as well.
