Gareth Southgate's side will play Nigeria at Wembley on 2 June and Costa Rica at Leeds United's Elland Road stadium on 7 June as they prepare for the summer tournament in Russian Federation.

England faced Costa Rica at the last World Cup, playing out a 0-0 draw in Belo Horizonte, while England's last game against Nigeria also finished goalless at the 2002 World Cup finals in Japan.

"But it's not just about the games we've got in the group stages, but hopefully beyond that as well".

According to ESPN's Adam Rittenberg , Baylor head coach Matt Rhule interviewed for the same position for the Indianapolis Colts . He turned a 2-10 record in his first season as head coach at Temple in 2013 into back-to-back 10-win seasons in 2015 and 2016.

England defeated Nigeria 1-0 in a highly entertaining friendly at the old Wembley in 1994 with David Platt scoring the only goal.
