In addition, bringing together HARMAN's iconic audio brands and capabilities paired with Samsung's leading display technologies will deliver enhanced audio and video experiences to consumers and professional end markets. "Building an autonomous platform requires close collaboration across industry, as one company can not deliver on this enormous opportunity alone". This technology is incorporated into the DRVLINE platform.

It only takes a brief glimpse at the news coming out of CES 2018 to see how the automotive industry is now easily one of the fastest-growing segments of the technology market, and that's because automakers are looking to add more and more autonomous features as the race to put driverless cars on the road intensifies. Auto makers can collaborate with Samsung and Harman in customizing or enhancing individual components and technologies for their upcoming models. The challenge is simple too big and too complex. Essentially the platform lets OEMs work towards future Level 5 autonomy. Samsung's and HARMAN's leadership in these spaces perfectly positions Samsung to be the preferred partner to our OEM customers. The platform leverages Samsung's expertise in electronics, IoT, and embedded systems, including "in-car compute for Levels 3, 4, and 5 automation". The brand-new ADAS forward-facing camera system is engineered to meet the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) standards.
