Last Friday, the airline said it had written to the pilot unions in Ireland, the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain and Portugal inviting each of them to talks.

Ryanair pilots chose to call off the industrial action after the airline caved in to demands and agreed to recognized unions, a decision that totally contravened their previous 32 year-long stance on unionship.

A German union representing flight attendants criticized budget carrier Ryanair on Tuesday, saying the airline was refusing to meet with them to discuss pay and conditions.

Ryanair has confirmed that it will recognise the cabin crew unions ahead of the meeting tonight.

The latest issue for Ryanair involved proposed industrial action from pilots which was scheduled for tomorrow, just five days before Christmas.

In addition to union recognition, Ryanair pilots are seeking collective bargaining agreements and some changes to contracts.

Impact, the Irish pilot's trade union, wrote on Sunday that they had "suspended a planned one-day strike of Ryanair pilots next Wednesday after company management agreed to recognise the union as the representative of Irish-based pilots".

"We have had a number of threatened strikes across a number of countries in Europe and to protect our passenger's travel plans over the Christmas period we've chose to make that decision now".
