While Samsung hasn't revealed all of the hardware details yet, it has revealed the changes these 2018 models bring versus the current versions.

Samsung Notebook 9 Pen and Notebook 9 (2018) have been announced ahead of the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES). That S Pen doesn't contain a battery; it has 4,096 pressure levels as well as a 0.7mm tip, plus tilt detection.

All of the new PCs include Intel's new eighth-generation U-series Core i7 processors, which means that they're quad-core and there's going to be a significant boost in performance from the last generation. The connectivity ports available on the device include USB-C, USB 3.0, HDMI, United States dollars card slot, headphone/microphone jack and DC-in.

All four Samsung Notebook 9 PCs will be reaching the South Korean market this month itself, followed by its arrival in the USA in Q1 2018. It also has a 360-degree hinge that allows users to convert it into a tablet or prop it up into tent mode. Unlike the other models, the Notebook 9 Pen is made with a premium magnesium aluminum, which makes it lighter than regular aluminum. The 15-inch model meanwhile, also comes with an Intel HD graphics and Nvidia GeForce MX150. Removing the stylus activates Air Command menu through which users can quickly access Autodesk Sketchook, Samsung Notes and S Pen shortcuts.

On the specs front, the Samsung Notebook 9 boasts of a 13.3-inch Samsung RealViewTouch FHD display. Storage tops off at 512GB of NVMe PCIe memory and it only has an integrated Intel HD Graphics. Samsung has squeezed in a HDMI port, a single USB-C port, and a regular USB port, alongside microSD storage and a Windows Hello camera to sign into Windows 10 with just your face.

The Notebook 9 Pen fully supports Windows Hello with a built-in fingerprint scanner, but it also has an infrared camera front-facing camera. As for ports, the Samsung Notebook 9 Pen comes with one USB Type-C port, one USB 3.0 port, one HDMI ports and a Dollars card slot.

Konami has released a new Metal Gear Survive gameplay video highlighting the upcoming survival actioner's single-player campaign. In co-op, players will fight with their comrades online to collect rewarding loot which can aid in the single player campaign.

Joining the Pen version are the three aforementioned Notebook 9 2018 models, their weights ranging up to 2.84lbs. Samsung has included Privacy Folder with the Notebook 9 models.

Samsung has announced the upgraded version of the Notebook 9 and the new Notebook 9 Pen.

BYU to hire Jeff Grimes as offensive coordinator
Grimes is expected to remain on LSU's staff through the Tigers' game against Notre Dame in the Citrus Bowl on January 1. LSU expects Grimes to accept the job as BYU's offensive coordinator, ending his four-season tenure at the school.
