First up, we have word from Synaptics which has just revealed a new fingerprint scanner design, the much-coveted "In-Display" design that many phone makers have tried and failed to implement within the previous year and a bit.

A technological company named Synaptic Inc. has come with a new technology that will surely make you say "wow" with your mouth wide open. Synaptics' Clear ID performance is twice as fast as 3D facial recognition and requires only one touch to access your smartphone.

Wherever you go, Ingram suggests giving your eyes 30 minutes or so to adjust to darkness, and bundling up to stay warm. From 5 to 17 December, the Ukrainians in the sky to see the last meteor shower this year - the Geminids stream.

Synaptics Incorporated, the self-described "pioneer and leader of the human interface revolution", has been able to iron out the kinks of a groundbreaking in-display fingerprint recognition solution initially meant for the Galaxy S8.

"Synaptics' Clear ID fingerprint sensors are faster, more convenient, and more secure than alternative biometrics, and this optical technology represents a major innovation shift and opportunity for the smartphone market", Barber added. Synaptics today announced the world's first fingerprint sensor that goes underneath the display, allowing future manufacturers to continue offering mobile phones that sport crisp thin bezels while also allowing users to unlock the devices without adopting unorthodox finger-mounting positions. Synaptics uses SentryPoint technology with the sensor that brings Quantum Matcher for adaptive fingerprint template matching and authentication. As a matter of fact, all this process takes less than quarter of a second. Synaptics' broad portfolio of touch, display, biometrics, voice, audio, and multimedia products is built on the company's rich R&D, extensive IP and dependable supply chain capabilities. Banks are alleged to be seeing iris scanning as more of a fad at the moment, and considering the iris scanning technology on the Galaxy S8 was able to be fooled by a photograph, may not see it as the most secure method for authentication.

Jenkins made the surprising move over fears of being sent to Vietnam-the USA was about to become heavily involved in the war. Once when it was noticed he had a US Army tattoo, he was taken to the doctor to have it cut off without anesthesia.

The company also claims that the Synaptic Clear ID technology is 99 percent foolproof and will improve the overall user experience using machine learning. This has been something many smartphone makers have wanted to implement since the trend for ultra-wide 18:9 aspect ratio displays emerged, leaving little in the way of front-facing bodywork remaining to put a scanner inside and leaving many OEMs placing the scanner on the rear panel.

Before giving our final verdict, we have to wait until the CES to see it in person. Is this the holy grail of fingerprint scanner?
