When it comes to smart speakers, the BBC is actively embracing the future.

This new feature works with a number of music streaming services, including Amazon Music, Spotify, Pandora, TuneIn, SiriusXM, and iHeartRadio.

The BBC is a big producer of audio content, with 10 national radio stations, six regional stations, and 40 local stations across the UK.

BBC content can already be accessed through skills for RadioPlayer and TuneIn.

Amazon Echo will begin to ship new regions as well, enabling customers to experience Amazon Music Unlimited with the power and simplicity of natural voice controls in English, powered by Alexa, Amazon's cloud-based voice service.

The BBC skill is available to download and enable now.
