Rich Swann Arrested, Charged With Battery, False Imprisonment and Kidnapping

Swann was attending the FEST Wrestling show at 8 Seconds in downtown Gainesville on December 9th, where his wife, independent wrestler Su Yung (real name Vannarah Riggs), was performing. A police report said Swann criticized her performance and the pair began arguing. Yung, feeling the argument was "going to escalate", attempted to flee and got out of the vehicle. A witness told police that Swann and the woman had jumped out of the auto while it was moving. The auto later hit a telephone pole.

After failing to get her to return to the auto verbally, the report claims that the WWE 205 Live star left the vehicle, grabbing Yung and putting her in a headlock to take her to the vehicle physically as she screamed for assitance. She told authorities that she was grabbed by the arm and brought back to the vehicle.

The woman told police she was afraid of Swann because "he has a temper sometimes". He's suspected of getting physical with his wife and holding her in a auto against her will. Swann claims in his report not to have physically touched Riggs and that he only wanted her back in the vehicle to retrieve his Global Positioning System directions from her phone so he could get home. "Upon conviction for such misconduct, a WWE talent will be immediately terminated". He has been charged with Kidnapping/False imprisonment.

He won the Cruiserweight Championship on the first episode of 205 Live but eventually lost the title to Neville.
