Firewatch developer reveals next game In The Valley of the Gods

Of course, the path is fraught with dangers, and chances are high you might end up dead (you probably won't).

Firewatch, Campo Santo's previous game, was nominated for four categories at last year's The Game Awards, including Best Narrative and Best Independent Game. Players will take on the role of an explorer and filmmaker who is looking to uncover a "seemingly-impossible discovery and an incredible film". I expect that despite the whole treasure-seeking plot, the relationship between Rashida and Zora should be the real crux of the story. It looks to have a lot of potential, but we'll be waiting a while to get our hands on it - the game won't be out until 2019.

In the Valley of Gods will be self-published by Campo Santo, and is now in development for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
