Ed Sheeran awarded MBE at Buckingham Palace

Ed received the MBE (Member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire) for his services to music.

The 26-year-old was presented with the honour from Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace.

The "Shape of your" hit-maker has worked with a range of charities like an organization East Anglia's Children's Hospices, which he supports as an ambassador and has the Duchess of Cambridge as its royal patron.

The singer mentioned that he would love to play at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding reception.

At least one woman was interviewed by Morgan Stanley as part of the investigation, Huffington Post reported . Ford was appointed to become a managing director of Morgan Stanley in 2011.

As he collected the honor at Buckingham Palace, the Divide singer-songwriter said previous generations of Sheerans would be proud.

Today Ed Sheeran was made an MBE (Member of the Order of the British Empire) by The Prince of Wales.

Sheeran's "New York concert" tomorrow (Dec. 8) is the Z100 Jingle Ball at Madison Square Garden.

The MBE has a lot of personal meaning for Sheeran, too: His late grandfather, Bill, was a "massive royalist" - i.e. a massive fan of the Royal family - and this MBE would be a huge deal to him, who passed away in 2013.

The interview was originally conducted as part of an investigation into sexual abuse allegations made against Michael Jackson. Now, they've changed their tune as they've located the interview and turned it over to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The Grammy Award victor spoke about his grandfather Bill Sheeran after the ceremony, saying he would be proud of his medal.

'I think talent is like 30% of it and persistence, drive and self belief are the other ones, which I guess are all the same thing'.

"I think it's persistence", Sheeran, who was recently forced to cancel tour dates due to arm injuries sustained in a bicycle accident, insisted.
