"One woman heard from Ford's accuser the night of the incident and described her as 'distraught, shocked, and frightened, ' and said that she was concerned about any career ramifications should she report the incident".

Harold Ford Jr., a former congressman turned Wall Street rainmaker, was sacked by the financial services firm Morgan Stanley in recent days "for conduct inconsistent with our values and in violation of our policies", the company said in a statement on Thursday.

"HuffPost is not identifying the woman at her request but has reviewed emails that confirm her interactions with Ford and spoke to two people whom the woman confided in about the incident", the report stated.

Ford was appointed to become a managing director of Morgan Stanley in 2011.

The interview was originally conducted as part of an investigation into sexual abuse allegations made against Michael Jackson. Now, they've changed their tune as they've located the interview and turned it over to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The former lawmaker's firing came after a human resources investigation into allegations.

"He has been terminated for conduct inconsistent with our values and in violation of our policies", a spokeswoman for the company told HuffPost.

At least one woman was interviewed by Morgan Stanley as part of the investigation, Huffington Post reported. I will now be bringing legal action against [the woman] who has made these false claims about me as well as Morgan Stanley for improper termination, ' he said.

The report includes details of an email the woman sent to the former Tennessee politician, asking him to cease contact because of the harassment.

"This simply did not happen", Mr. Ford wrote. I have never forcibly grabbed any woman or man in my life. Ford apologized and agreed not to email the woman anymore.

In a statement, Ford disputed the allegations and said he would sue the woman, who he revealed was a reporter. "False claims like this undermine the real silence breakers".

After leaving Congress, Ford has served in a couple of academic roles at Vanderbilt and New York University, and has appeared frequently as a guest and political expert on national television shows.
