The denial came after several TV channels reported that the couple was likely to tie the knot between December 11-13 in Milan. The wedding is touted to be a three day event in the midst of respective families and friends.

"There is absolutely no truth to it (rumours of marriage)" said the spokesperson.

While Virat is taking a break from cricket for a while, Anushka is now shooting for Aanand L Rai's untitled film along with Shah Rukh Khan and Katrina Kaif.

Earlier, Virat's childhood coach, Rajkumar Sharma, who is also the coach of the Under-23 Delhi team, excused himself from a match on December 7, citing his "nephew's" wedding as the reason for the same.

Given that both Anushka and Virat are stalwarts of their own field, their wedding would have been an ideal feast for the paparazzi in India.
