FRANKFURT/WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A us federal investigator probing alleged Russian interference in the 2016 usa presidential election asked Deutsche Bank for data on accounts held by President Donald Trump and his family, a person close to the matter said on Tuesday, but Trump's lawyer denied any such subpoena had been issued.
White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders reiterated Sekulow's denial of the reporting during a press briefing Tuesday afternoon. USA investigators are demanding that it provide information on dealings linked to the Trumps, sources familiar with the matter told Handelsblatt.
This summer, Trump said that he considered his family's personal finances a "red line" that Mueller should not cross. During the interview, the president made clear his position that the matter is "about Russian Federation", and that he would consider extracurricular inquiries into his personal finances or business transactions to be "a violation".
In February, The Guardian reported Deutsche Bank reviewed Trump's accounts to see if there were any "suspicious connections" to Russian Federation but didn't find any links.
A report issued Tuesday on expenses associated with the special counsel's investigation into Russian interference in the 2016 election includes a breakdown of direct and reimbursed expenses, such as salaries to detailed DOJ employees who would have been paid regardless of being detailed to Mr. Mueller's team.
John Travolta's 'Gotti' biopic pulled from schedule 10 days before release
While it's a bit unclear why this move was made so late in the game, it's at least now known what the goal was. John Travolta-starrer " Gotti " has been dropped by Lionsgate ten days prior to its domestic release .
Deutsche Bank is not the only Trump-related business interest that is attracting the attention of investigators.
Opponents and some reports have suggested that Trump's businesses are the terminus for billions of dollars in illicit money, funneled out of Russian Federation or the East, through intermediaries, and into properties connected with the Trump real estate empire.
In June Deutsche Bank cited privacy laws when it rejected a request by House Democrats to provide details of Trump's finances. (The Department of Justice did not respond to a request for comment.) And during the campaign, Deutsche Bank was separately under investigation by the Justice Department for its role in the 2008 financial crisis.
TRUMP: I would say yeah.
Trump has also said that it would be a "violation" if Mueller went into his family's finances instead of focusing directly on the mechanisms of influencing the election, part of suggestions that he could fire the former Federal Bureau of Investigation director.

He said the rap titan then flew to NY to meet with him where they spent eight hours recording a new track. "Yeah, it's raw as fuck, man".
Mr Trump and Deutsche Bank have not always been on good terms.
"We have confirmed that the news reports that the Special Counsel had subpoenaed financial records relating to the president are false".
As Mueller's investigation unfolds, Trump has gone on the offensive. What does Deutsche Bank's loans to Trump have to do with Russian influence on the election?

Since the probe began in May, the special counsel has charged four people, two of whom have pleaded guilty.
