Brendan Rodgers' men beat Anderlecht 3-0 in Belgium in the earlier group stage game between the two teams and are now looking to seal a spot in the Europa League when they host the Belgians on Tuesday.

Onyekuru, who did not score a single goal for Anderlecht in the group stage, played 90 minutes in the win against the Scottish champions. We were poor in our ball possession, we couldn't keep it and needed too many touches.

"It's hard to feel that after you've lost, but we got the job done over the course of the game".

'Some of them think they are Champions League players but this is a good leveller for some of those guys to reflect on the performance and be better.

"Midway through the first half we had to change tactically and I was thankful to be in 0-0 at half-time.bSecond-half we were better, we were able to stem the flow and be a threat".

"Some of our players have a long way to go before they can call themselves players at this level".

After a 3-0 away win they would have had to lose on the same scoreline to go out.

"So we need to be better than we were tonight but we have shown we can be better".

'We have done absolutely awesome.

"We were fourth seeds coming into this group and we've managed to finish third".

Shares in Poundland, Benson for Beds and Harveys owner crash
Markus Jooste , chief executive of German-listed Steinhoff International Holdings NV, has resigned, the company said on Tuesday. Steinhoff's share price fell by more than 50% by midday on Wednesday, dropping to about R19 from its Tuesday close of R45.65.

"We have a lot of work to do before we can affect that level, but we're through and we can look forward to that in February".

"Tonight is an example of the long, long way to go and the gap there is between the teams at the very top end of European football and even those in behind that". For that they deserve a huge amount of credit.

Speaking after the match, Rodgers was disappointed by the result but pleased to have finished third in a tough group which also contained Paris-Saint Germain and Bayern Munich.

'We've done that. So next year it doesn't get any easier, if anything it'll become more hard'.
