According to Bush, the president's remarks felt he was "doing his bit".

Billy Bush may have gone on CBS' Late Show With Stephen Colbert to combat President Trump's recent denial of the Access Hollywood tapes, but eventually, the conversation shifted to his former Today co-host.

In case you forgot, the 46-year-old was axed from NBC after he was heard participating in a lewd conversation with the Trumpster in a tape from '05.

The shock jock is still in awe Donald Trump became president of the United States.

Trump apologized for his derogatory comments after the clip surfaced, but recently there have been reports that POTUS claims that the tapes are fake.

Mueller subpoenas Deutsche Bank in Trump investigation
In September the IRS shared financial details about members of Trump's campaign team with Mueller's investigation. Mr Trump has repeatedly denied any collusion with Russian Federation , calling the allegations a "witch hunt".

The op-ed, along with his appearance on The Late Show, is being perceived as a redemption tour for Bush, who was sacked previous year for his role in the Access Hollywood tape, but Stephen Colbert didn't make it easy for him. That is your voice, I was there, you were there, that's your voice on the tape.' ...

"If I thought there was a man detailing a sexual assault strategy to me, I would have contacted the Federal Bureau of Investigation and not just brought it to the attention of my producers", Bush told host Stephen Colbert".

"I personally wish that he had never run". "Twenty women don't get together and say, 'You know what would be really fun?" Haha!' No, they don't...

"You don't get to say that. Enough's enough. Stop playing around with people's lives". "That upset me. So I wrote".

We love seeing a politically woke Billy.

While Trump has yet to respond to or tweet about Bush's op-ed, the reiteration of Trump's guilt isn't happening in a vacuum as Bush notes that there were actually "seven other guys present on the bus".

Bush said that it took some time after his departure before he began reading the accounts of the women who had publicly leveled allegations against Trump. He actually doesn't do those things.' If I had thought there was a man detailing a sexual assault strategy to me, I would've called the Federal Bureau of Investigation, not just reported it to my executive producer. That was it for me.

Though Bush acknowledged that the last year-plus has been "a hard time", he also praised the current cultural shift surrounding sexual assault - and urged the public to keep it going.

"The very day that he was swearing in as the president, I was checking in to this soul-searching retreat in Santalina, Calif.", Bush revealed.
