Green Bay selected Jones out of UTEP in the fifth round of the 2017 National Football League draft.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network described Jones' injury as a "sprained MCL" on Sunday. He left the field Sunday on a cart and was ruled out shortly there after.

Jones has 370 yards on 70 carries this season.

Green Bay does not have a running back on the practice squad now.
