In a blog post addressing the issues, Sledgehammer told fans that it is addressing these problems regarding the server and connection, with a promise to return to normality in the near future.

Sledgehammer Games said a PC-specific title update is ready for release, but it wants to fix the constant connection issues, which also affect PC players, before it's available to the public.

Sledgehammer's Michael Condrey has revealed that Double XP was active on CoD: WWII since its launch on the 3rd of November. "Everyone was getting 2XP since November 3 and up until we made the playlist change late Thursday night, which effectively launched 3XP".

"This weekend we rolled out various test solutions in limited markets in order to fully analyse real-world conditions without risking disruption", the post continues. As a result, the developers migrated online play to peer-to-peer (P2P) servers in an effort to provide a more stable experience. We've begun to test dedicated servers today in the US. No reason to release a patch that will just make things worse.
