Biden: I Wouldn't Have Replaced Hillary

Joe Biden told NBC's "Today" that he is "not closing the door" on running for president in 2020.

However, Biden said on "Today" that the first time he had heard about that plan was in Brazile's book, and asserted he would never have agreed to the deal. "I'm a great respecter of fate".

Biden, who represented DE in the Senate for 36 years, has long given voice to the working class.

Biden says he was for Clinton, but that he anxious about her prospects. It chronicles Biden's life around the time of his son's death. In April, he said he would not run in 2020.

Hillary Clinton was unable to get her message out in 2016, Biden said, adding that he does not know if he would have beaten Donald Trump in the general election. It also expands on his decision not to seek the 2016 Democratic nomination.

"I've done it a long time", the former senator from DE said.

He said he is focused now on boosting Democrats in the 2018 midterm races.

Biden had sought the Democratic presidential nomination for the 1988 and 2008 elections.
