Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN reported that the Hawks will also get "two future second round picks".

The Cleveland Cavaliers are preparing to ship forward Richard Jefferson and guard Kay Felder to the Atlanta Hawks, according to The Vertical's Shams Charania.

Sources said the draft picks going to Atlanta are 2019 and 2020 second-rounders and that the Hawks will send back European draft rights for two players in the deal.

If the deal does indeed come to fruition, this year's Cavaliers squad will look much different than last year's iteration.

Both players will become free agents after clearing waivers. Jefferson, 37, is on the hook for $2.5 million this season.

The Cavaliers are trading forward Richard Jefferson and guard Kay Felder to the Atlanta Hawks to get their roster down to 15 players for the season opener on October 17, according to an ESPN report.

The Cavs selected Felder out of Oakland in the second round of the 2016 NBA Draft.

Felder, selected by Atlanta with the 54th pick of the 2016 draft, played in 42 games with the Cavaliers previous year.

Jefferson averaged 5.7 points and 2.6 rebounds a game in 79 games last season, while Felder appeared in 42 games, averaging 4.0 points and 1.4 assists per game. It's a purely salary cap saving maneuver for the Cavaliers, who are well over the salary cap and paying exponential luxury tax penalties.
