Linkin Park and Carpool Karaoke have shared an episode of the comedy sing-along show which features the band's late singer Chester Bennington with the blessings of his family.

Bennington was found dead in his home near Los Angeles in July after taking his own life.

In the short film Chester drives alongside comedian Ken Jeong while bandmates Mike Shinoda and Joe Hahn sing and dance in the backseat.

The coroner ruled that Bennington, 41, had apparently hanged himself. Over the course of the episode, they sing Outkast's "Hey Ya", Linkin Park's "Numb", "In the End", "Talking to Myself" and Red Hot Chili Peppers' "Under the Bridge".

Belting out a string of tunes in the auto, the musician gushed: "This is probably the greatest day of my life". "This is so fun, this is the best".

Bennington, who struggled with depression, committed suicide by hanging on 20 July this year.

The 23-minute long episode, which has been published on Facebook with the permission of Bennington's family, ends with a link to a charitable fund set up by the band in honour of the singer.

Meanwhile, Ken Jeong tweeted that he was "in shock and heartbroken". While Linkin Park is not exactly EDM, the group has collaborated in the EDM world before, and many EDM fans, including Zedd, were fans of the legendary rock group.
