Isaiah Thomas says he 'might not ever talk to' Celtics' Danny Ainge ever again

It's not a secret that Isaiah Thomas was a little frustrated with Boston Celtics GM Danny Ainge after being traded to Cleveland, given everything IT had done for the franchise since his arrival back in 2015.

Thomas' words came out in a Sports Illustrated story that dropped on Wednesday.

Thomas had grown fond of Boston and the city had grown fond of Thomas during his short stint in Bean Town, even more so after the entire city rallied behind him after the loss of his sister Chyna only a day before the start of the National Basketball Association playoffs.

Ainge seemed disappointed when told that Thomas might not ever talk to him again.

Channing Tatum's Gambit movie has had so many false starts, it's nearly surprising the star remains committed to the film. Remy will marry Bella Donna Boudreaux who is his childhood friend and granddaughter of the head assassin.

"Ainge has said that the uncertainty about Thomas" injury and his impending free agency next summer was the motivating factor behind the trade. "With the Isaiah and Jae trade, that was such an unusual situation to have a trade between these two teams with that caliber of players on both sides", he said.

After Thomas's comments were published, Ainge was asking what he thought.

"That's the hard part of the job".

"I was a player that was traded twice", Ainge told ESPN's Chris Forsberg, "so I understand his sentiments". "That's what makes it really tough, and the emotional feel you have for the guys that are now gone". While he understands, he says it's a part of the game.

In the interview - entitled 'Best year of my career, worst year of my life, ' Thomas touches on the hip injury that he suffered last year, which is sidelining him from starting the season with the Cavs this year. I know there is a lot of feelings that go on when these type of things happen.

It might not be anytime soon, but hopefully Thomas and Ainge are able to reconcile at some point down the road. "That takes two people and, obviously, he said some things today and has some strong feelings and strong emotions, and I understand those".

Thomas has had a whirlwind previous year.
