OnLeaks posts renders of the Nokia 9, showing off curved glass and no headphone jack

HMD Global's Nokia 9 gets leaked in new render

Details on pricing and availability weren't given, but a leak from earlier this week suggested that the Nokia 9 might be announced sometime in early 2018 alongside the budget-friendly Nokia 2 and the mid-range Nokia 7, according to Phone Arena.

Disappointment will be the flavour of the day for US Nokia fans as HMD has confirmed the flagship Nokia 8 will not make its way over to America. Now a number of new renders, as well as a new 3D render video, have surfaced online, thanks to OnLeaks' latest collaboration with Compareraja. In the renders, Nokia 9 can been seen with an all-screen, akin to Samsung Galaxy S8. It's a flagship smartphone and is called Nokia 9.

The phone call is the highest level of contact since the suspension of visa services by both countries. He added that the arrest of an employee of the US Consulate General was carried out within the law.

As with all renders from OnLeaks, these images are based on CAD files of the phone. The Nokia 9 will apparently sport a 5.5-inch display with very slim bezels and a curved glass panel on the front. However, given the accurate track record of @Onleaks, we can be nearly sure about Nokia ditching the 3.5mm headphone port, especially since most brands have done the same over the past one year.

In terms of innards, the Nokia 9 is said to be powered by Snapdragon 835 SoC that would be coupled with 4 GB RAM. Instead, the fingerprint scanner can be seen embedded on the rear of the phone.

Facebook announces standalone VR headset
Though, no release date has been announced, project "Santa Cruz" could herald the company's next phase in terms of VR technology. Oculus also shared the recent updates to Project Santa Cruz, which is a standalone VR headset the company showed off past year .

Speaking more about the design of the Nokia 9, it looks like the company will be ditching the 3.5mm audio port after all, and shifting to USB Type-C for earphones. The biggest take away from the renders is the removal of the traditional 3.5mm headphone jack from the device. There's no headphone jack, and disturbingly common trend lately. It will be available in two storage options - 64 GB and 128 GB - and will likely run Android Oreo out of the box. This is because the Finnish company could be testing more than one prototype of the Nokia 9. The smartphone is expected to come with a 5.5-inch AMOLED Quad HD display.
