The ex of a University of Pittsburgh understudy whose father discovered her dead in her loft was captured in SC after a tipster called police, experts said.
Pittsburgh and Myrtle Beach police confirmed the arrest of 21-year-old Matthew Darby, of Greensburg, early Wednesday. Reacting officers arrested Darby and discovered that he was needed for the murder of Alina Sheykhet, 20, in Pittsburgh, more than 600 miles away. "Keep in mind, in the event that you see something, say something - it could prompt the capture of a brutal wrongdoer". Sheykhet was found dead in her off-campus apartment Sunday morning. When Myrtle Beach police confirmed Darby's identity, they learned of the Pittsburgh charges and jailed him without bond at the J. Reuben Long Detention Center in Conway. Police said Darby arrived at Duquesne University at 3:19 a.m. He was arrested and charged with felony criminal trespass on 26 September.
Darby can be found in reconnaissance film from close to the wrongdoing scene around the season of Sheykhet's slaughtering.

Bids were received for 9.41 crore equity shares as against 12.47 crore equity shares on offer in the price band of Rs. 855-912. The company is giving a discount of Rs 45 per share to retail investors and eligible employees.
Police indicate surveillance video showed someone matching Darby's description dropping a shiny object into a sewer drain and something else into a trash container, the complaint said. Police found a claw type hammer and two stainless steel knives in the sewer gate on Tuesday, which they believe were the weapons used to kill Sheykhet. He posted the $10,000 bail - but that bail was revoked for a violation of bail release conditions on Sunday.
Sheykhet wrote in the restraining order request that Darby climbed up the gutter on the side of her house and broke through the second-floor window because she stopped returning his calls after they broke up. The autopsy also mentioned that she was stabbed in the mouth.
He pleaded not guilty and posted a $10,000 (£7,500) bail in that case in March.

It comes a day after Mr Darby's attorney, David Schrager, urged his client to turn himself in despite a lack of charges against him.
