According to the CDC, at least 39 people across seven states have confirmed or suspected cases of Campylobacter bacteria, which can cause diarrhea, abdominal pain and fever. Nine of the victims needed hospitalization services, yet there was no fatal outcome for any of them.

The illnesses started from September 15, 2016 to August 12, 2017, with the most recent illness reported on September 1, 2017.
