Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Wednesday said that Pakistan and the European Union (EU) relations were based on a commitment to continued engagement.
Regarding the U.S. pressures, PM Abbasi said Islamabad has not received any specific demands from USA, promising that the country would take steps regarding any information they receive.
The prime minister denied Pakistan was harbouring militants, insisting it was "fighting agents of chaos".
In his August 21 speech on the Afghan War, President Trump singled out Pakistan for criticism, accusing them of providing safe zones for terrorism, and that they aren't doing enough to support America's war.

"We have nothing to hide, as a general rule you do not punish allies", Abbasi said when asked about USA plans to get tough on Pakistan and cutting billions of dollars worth of military and financial aid.
"We haven't received any list of measures", Abbasi told reporters in Islamabad on Tuesday. "We are transparent. We have nothing to hide". "We respect others' sovereignty and expect the same from others". He said it was unfair to blame Pakistan for all the troubles in Afghanistan.
